Accreditations & Recognition

Liberty Healthcare has maintained Joint Commission Certification in Health Care Staffing Services for our entire organization since 2006. We also hold additional Joint Commission certification for various units within our company, as well as accreditation for other programs through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and National Association of Dual Diagnosis (NADD).



In 2013, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department was awarded a Best Practices Award for the Liberty Healthcare Restoration of Competency Program by the California Council on Mentally Ill Offenders (COMIO). Click here to view the Press Release.

Program of the Year:

The Indiana Department of Correction’s Sex Offender Monitoring and Management (INSOMM) program, managed in partnership with Liberty Behavioral Health Corporation, was awarded the 2014 “Program of the Year” by the Indiana Criminal Justice Association. Click here to view the Press Release.


Joint Commission:

In 2006, Liberty was among the first in the industry to gain The Joint Commission’s Healthcare Staffing Services Certification, the national gold standard for staffing service delivery. It has repeatedly maintained this certification with distinction at each subsequent two-year survey. 


In 2012, Liberty Healthcare’s innovative program in Oklahoma earned the distinction of being the first in North America to be surveyed and approved for accreditation by the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed (NADD). Liberty was recommended for the highest level of approval, a full three-year accreditation. 


In 2007, Liberty Healthcare collaborated with the Illinois Department of Human Services to achieve accreditation by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) for the first Post-Doctoral Fellowship and Pre-Doctoral Internship in sex offense-specific treatment for a civil commitment facility.


In 2005, Liberty Healthcare Corporation collaborated with the Illinois Department of Human Services to enable its program to be the first civil commitment sex offense-specific treatment program to achieve accreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF).

In 2004, Liberty of Oklahoma Corporation, an affiliate of Liberty Healthcare Corporation, achieved first-time accreditation by CARF for the Robert M. Greer Center for the Dually Diagnosed, a specialized 52-bed treatment facility for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental illness and criminal justice involvement.

In 2000, Liberty Healthcare Corporation achieved first-time accreditation by CARF with commendations for excellence for the Arkansas Partnership Program, a specialized 42-bed secure residential treatment facility for forensic patients with serious mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
